This electrical tool has been designed by an electrician for electricians.  It will pay for itself within just a couple of house wirings.  As an electrician for over 35 years now, I have used all sorts of methods to position boxes in new construction walls, conduit cut to length, boards cut to desired height, hammer height, and even lasers.  This tool gives the electrician the ability to put every nail-on box at the right height every time.  It is fully adjustable which allows for boxes to be mounted at all standard heights.  The basic PBJ comes with the backbone and 2 residential box brackets.  It is commonly used with one bracket set at desired receptacle height and one bracket higher for switches and quickly adjusted to counter top heights. It not only positions the box at the right height, it also quickly allows the user to ensure that the box is mounted at the proper depth in the wall which will allow for a box to be flush with the final sheetrock. This aids in compliance with requirements of NEC 314.20 for box mounting, and 406.4 and 404.10 for device mounting.  No more having to use spacers to get the device to mount solidly.

The PBJ comes with a measuring tape permanently in place, so put away your tape measure.  No more need to grab a pencil, get the measuring tape out, mark a spot, put the tape away, put the pencil away, grab a box, "eyeball" the box to the mark and nail it on.  Now you can just preset the desired height, walk up to the wall and nail on the box.  Walk through an entire house mounting boxes in a fraction of the time it would normally take.

If you do commercial jobs and use the 4" square steel boxes with attached stud brackets, the optional COMMERCIAL BRACKETS are a must.  Consistently mounting these boxes at the proper height is even more time consuming than mounting a residential plastic or fiberglass box.  Measuring tape, marking, lining up bottom or center of box with mark, holding the box while preparing the screw in the power drill, aligning the tabs on the box with the surface of the stud and finally screwing the box to the stud.  With the PBJ COMMERCIAL BRACKETS and their patented magnetic holding, simply position the box in the bracket, walk up to the wall, and screw in place.  The COMMERCIAL BRACKETS hold the box in perfect position every time freeing up the hands to operate the drill.  The time saved with these COMMERCIAL BRACKETS is considerable and will pay for themselves over and over again.

The basic PBJ sells for $99.00 plus S&H ($30.00) and comes with the backbone and two residential brackets.

The COMMERCIAL BRACKETS are sold as a pair for $84.95 plus S&H.  It is necessary to purchase the basic PBJ to get the backbone.
